Carterton Market

The weekly Carterton Market has been trading on the new Market Square outside the Town Hall since December 2014.  The regular traders still trade every Thursday and they frequently welcome new members to trade alongside them.

The market operates from approximately 8.30 am to 3.00 pm. Regular attendees are the fruit and veg stall, bread and cakes, plants and flowers, gold and silver to buy or sell, fish van, burger and hot drinks van, cards and wrapping paper, and rugs and carpets.  Since 2017, following the closure of its Carterton Branch, the Lloyds Bank Mobile Banking Unit has attended the market on a weekly basis.  However, with the restrictions of COVID-19, the Mobile Unit only attends the Market Square fortnightly on a Tuesday until further notice.
