Why I became a Councillor:
I arrived at RAF Brize Norton in 1986 after I was demobbed in 1996 I worked locally in Carterton and moved to live here in 2009.
What I love best about Carterton
We have the leisure Centre with swimming pool,
We also have football pitches,
The recreation ground,
Good bus link to Oxford.
What next for Carterton
Carterton is in need of a better road infrastructure,
Carterton is in need of a decent size restaurant that is accessible to all,
There is also a need for more recreational facilities and entertainment venues,
We need to encourage businesses such as clothes, shoes, jewellery and electrical shops into Carterton this would help improve the economy of the Town, this would prevent us from traveling further afield, and these would also create jobs locally.
The town is also in need of an hotel.
Further housing for the benefit of the town and not for the developers.
And a site needs to be found for a new cemetery within the boundary of Carterton.
