Carterton WI

Women inspiring women

Carterton WI meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 7.00pm. We have a wide variety of speakers and activities to which all are welcome. Come along as a visitor for two meetings and then join us officially. We have speakers on a wide variety of subjects and/or craft demonstrations which we all join in. Our July meeting is usually a trip out with the obligatory cream tea, and we meet informally on Monday afternoons twice a month where we chat, craft and enjoy each other's company.

Meetings are held in our hall in Brize Norton Road, behind the bus stop opposite The Golden Eagle pub. The Carterton branch of the WI commenced in 1922 and we celebrated our 90th birthday in 2012, making us one of the earliest organisations in the town.

You are assured of a warm welcome if you join us.

Our hall is available for hire at the weekends; it has a modern kitchen, toilet for the disabled, and a piano. The hall holds a maximum number of 100 persons and party bookings are restricted to the under 10s. If you would like to make a booking, please contact Barbara Fall on 01993 841674 for further information.
