Carterton Job ClubYou are here: Home > Carterton Job Club The Carterton Job Club has been up and running since 12 May 2011.
Free internet access and information, including the latest job vacancies, are available to help with job searches, along with coffee and biscuits. A series of informal sessions will be held led by experts on topics such as writing CVs, interview techniques and volunteering. From time to time local organisations such as the Job Centres, Colleges and employers have displays with further useful information available. There is no need to book a place, you can just turn up on the day, but if you would like more information please contact Catherine Chater on 01993 842156 or email cchater@carterton-tc.gov.uk. These pages have been set up specifically for the Job Club and we are in the process of developing them further to provide additional information to support those looking for work. The photo to the right shows the Rt Hon David Cameron MP paying a visit to the Job Club in June 2011.
Benefits AdviceUnfortunately, a Benefits Advice Officer from West Oxfordshire District Council is no longer available to attend the Job Club, but if you are seeking advice on Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit, then a phone is provided for you to call 01993 861268 or 861030 to talk to an advisor or to make an appointment, or you can email carole.kelman@westoxon.gov.uk. There are changes to the rules to Welfare Benefits taking place now which may affect you, so if you are unsure or want to know more, take advantage of this opportunity to get in touch.
The next Job Club will be held on Thursday 30th May 2013, 9.30-11.00 a.m.
