  The next meeting of the Town Council Planning Committee will take place on Tuesday 7 August 2012 at 7.30 p.m. at the Town Hall, Alvescot Road, Carterton. The Agenda will be displayed on this website and on the Town Hall Noticeboard. Members of the public and press are welcome to attend.

Total Adventure Holiday : 9am -6pm Edit 
  A multi-activity adventure holiday for 8-12 year olds, based at Carterton Community College. Either come for 5 days, or enjoy the Total Adventure by camping over each night. Activities could include canoeing, climbing, fencing, archery and arts & crafts, and each evening our Roadshow will help us think about our Olympic theme from a positive Christian point of view.   CARTERTON WI MEETING SPEAKER DINNY PAGAN TELLING US ALL ABOUT RAG RUGS. WE MEET AT 7.30PM - ALL WELCOME VISITORS FEE £2.50 INCLUDES LIGHT REFRESHMENTS AND RAFFLE TICKET MEETING FORMAT - SPEAKER, TEA, BUSINESS, SOCIAL TIME, RAFFLE.

Planning Committee : 7.30 p.m. Edit

Repatriations : 4.00-4.30pm Edit 
  We have been advised by RAF Brize Norton that the Repatriations of Lance Corporal Matthew Smith of 26 Engineer Regiment, Guardsman Jamie Shadrake of 1st Battalion, Grenadier Guards and Lieutenant Andrew Chesterman of 3rd Battalion, The Rifles will take place on Tuesday 21st August 2012. The plane will land at approx 1.30pm and the cortege will pass the Memorial Garden between 4.00-4.30pm, reaching the John Radcliffe Hospital between 5.00 - 5.30pm Norton Way will be closed from approx 1.30pm, whilst Station Road, Brize Norton, will be closed for approximately 10 minutes once the cortege leaves Britannia Gate at RAF Brize Norton.

  Charity Car Boot Sale on the old market site, Black Bourton Road, Carterton. Pitches £6 single, £12 double or trade. Set up from 7.00am. Entry is free with charity collection. All welcome! Enquiries to Maddy, Tel: 01993 772241.  
 

August 29
ACT Panto Enrolment : 6pm-8pm Edit 
  Acting Community Thingumybogs (Cartertons community amateur dramatic group) are looking for people to take part in their Christmas pantomime, either on or off stage. If you are interested then come along to our enrolment evening on Wednesday 29th August, at Carterton Community College, pop in any time between 6pm-8pm. Rehearsals will then be every Tuesday evening. Under 16s must attend enrolment with a parent/guardian and primary school aged children must attend all rehearsals and performances with a parent/guardian.
