Family Sponsored Walk : 10.00 a.m. Edit 
  Fun Family sponsored walk at Wittenham Clumps with refreshments, craft stalls and a choice of either a 5k or 8k route. Sunday 1st July, registration begins at 10am Advance tickets: Adults £5, Children £2.50 Tickets on the day: Adults £7 Children £5 (Participants are asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £30) Please call or email for your entry pack: 01235 849410 or walkonthewildside@ageoxfordsh ire.org.uk The walk starts and finishes at the Earth Trust Centre, Little Wittenham, Oxfordshire, OX14 4QZ  
 

July 3
Planning & Recreation Committees : 7.30 p.m. Edit 
  The next town council Planning Committee will be held on Tuesday 3rd July 2012 at 7.30 p.m. at the Town Hall, Alvescot Road, followed by the Recreation Committee at 7.45 p.m. Members of the public and press are welcome to attend.  
 

July 5
Repatriations : 4.30-5.00 p.m. Edit 
  We have been advised by RAF Brize Norton that the Repatriations of Warrant Officer Leonard Thomas of the Royal Corps of Signals and Guardsmen Craig Roderick and Apete Tuisovurua both of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards will take place on Thursday 5th July 2012. The plane will land at approx 1.30pm and the cortege will pass the Memorial Garden between 4.30-5.00pm, reaching the John Radcliffe Hospital between 5.30-6.00pm. Norton Way will be closed from approx 1.30pm, whilst Station Road, Brize Norton, will be closed for approximately 10 minutes once the cortege leaves Britannia Gate at RAF Brize Norton.  
 

July 7
The Homesteads Summer Fete : 14:00 to 16:00 Edit 
  The Homestead on Shilton Park is holding it summer fete on Saturday 7th July commencing at 2pm. There will be many stalls, a raffle a BBQ and refreshment tent. All welcome to attend. For more detail please contact Tracy Garwood (Volunteer Co-ordinator) on (01993) 845 754  
 

July 14
Summer Fun Day : 12.30-5pm Edit 
  Summer Fun Day for all the family with lots of fun, food and drink! Everyone welcome! St John the Evangelist School , Bluebell Way, Shilton Park, Carterton, OX18 1JF  
 

July 17
Planning & Town Council Meetings : 7.15 p.m. Edit 
  The next Planning Meeting will take place on Tuesday 17 July at the earlier time of 7.15pm, followed by the Town Council meeting at 7.45, at the Town Hall, Alvescot Road, Carterton. Members of the public and press are welcome to attend.  
 

July 19
Carterton Job Club : 9.30-11.00 am Edit 
  The next Carterton Job Club session will be held at Carterton Town Hall on Thursday 19th July 2012. Come along to search for job vacancies, seek benefits advice, update your CV or chat with other jobseekers. Refreshments available. Everyone welcome. Phone 01993 842156 with any queries.  
 

July 27
Country and Western Dance : 8.30 - 11.45 p.m Edit 
  Carterton Country Music Club, dancing to: The Michael Muldoon (Manchester based Irish Band) making a rare appearnce in the Oxfordshire area. Tickets £6.00 from Giles Sports, Carterton or phone Mick on 01993 850682 for further information. Michael Muldoon has appeared with Daniel ODonnell on several occasions  
 

July 28
Carterton Lions Car Boot Sale : 8.00am - 12.30pm Edit 
  Charity Car Boot Sale on the old market site, Black Bourton Road, Carterton. Pitches £6 single, £12 double or trade. Set up from 7.00am. Entry is free with collection for charity. All welcome! Enquiries 01993 772241
