Annual Town Meeting : 7.00 p.m. Edit 
  The Annual Meeting of Carterton Town Council will be held on Tuesday 1st May 2012 at Browne\'s Hall, Browne\'s Lane, Carterton, commencing at 7 p.m. Representatives of the Town, District and County Councils will be on hand to give up to date reports and answer questions. Members of the public and press are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.  
 

May 3
Repatriation : 3.30 p.m. Edit 
  We have been advised by RAF Brize Norton that the Repatriation of Guardsman Michael Roland from 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards will take place on Thursday 3rd May 2012. The plane will land at approx 1.30pm and the cortege will pass the Memorial Garden around 3.30pm, reaching the John Radcliffe Hospital around 4.30pm. Norton Way will be closed from approx 1.30pm, whilst Station Road, Brize Norton, will be closed for approximately 10 minutes once the cortege leaves Britannia Gate at RAF Brize Norton.  
 

May 7
Save the Children May Day Fair : 11am - 4.30pm Edit 
  The annual May Day Fair will take place on the Alvescot Road Recreation Ground and in Brownes Hall. Fun for all the Family including Side-Shows, Charity Stalls, Fun-Fair attractions, Dog Show. Stalls both outside and indoors. There will also be a Car Boot Sale. Further details available on 01993 842983  
 

May 8
Blood Donation Session : 10:30 - 16:30 Edit 
  There is a blood donation session taking place at the Community Centre, Marigold Square, Carterton on Tuesday 8th May. The session times will be 10:30 - 12:30 & 13:45 - 16:30. To book an appointment to attend the session, please phone 0300 123 23 23 or visit www.blood.co.uk. Please make every effort to attend the session, your donation is vital.

Carterton Job Club : 9.30-11.00 a.m. Edit 
  The next Carterton Job Club session will be held at Carterton Town Hall on Thursday 10th May 2012. Come along to search for job vacancies, seek benefits advice, or update your CV. Refreshments available. Everyone welcome. Phone 01993 842156 with any queries.  
 

Repatriations : 4.30 p.m. Edit 
  We have been advised that the Repatriations of Corporal Andrew Roberts and Private Ratu Silibaravi of the Royal Logistics Corps will take place on Thursday 10th May 2012. The plane will land at approx 1.30pm with the corteges due to pass the Memorial Garden around 4.30pm, reaching the John Radcliffe Hospital around 5.30pm. Norton Way will be closed from approx 1.30pm, whilst Station Road, Brize Norton will be closed for approximately 10 minutes whilst the corteges leave Britannia Gate at RAF Brize Norton.

FREE Literacy Course for Parents : 12.45-2.45 Edit 
  This FREE 6 week course will help parents develop the literacy skills they need to be confident in supporting their childrens education. There will be on site crèche facilities available for children to attend whilst the course is running. This 6 week course will be run by Oxfordshire Adult Learning as part of their Family Learning programme for Mind in Carterton. The course is FREE and will help parents develop the literacy skills they need to be confident in supporting their childrens education. There will be on site crèche facilities available for children to attend whilst the course is running. Repatriations : 3.30 p.m. Edit 
  We have been advised by RAF Brize Norton that the Repatriations of Lance Corporal Lee Davies from 1st Battalion Welsh Guards and Corporal Brent McCarthy from the Royal Air Force will take place on Thursday 17th May 2012. The plane will land at approx 1.30pm and the cortege will pass the Memorial Garden around 3.30pm, reaching the John Radcliffe Hospital around 4.30pm. Norton Way will be closed from approx 1.30pm, whilst Station Road, Brize Norton, will be closed for approximately 10 minutes once the cortege leaves Britannia Gate at RAF Brize Norton.

Carterton Play & Activity Day : 10 am - 3 pm Edit 
  The Carterton Play & Activity Day is being held on Saturday 19 May 2012 between 10am and 3pm on the Alvescot Road Recreation Ground in Carterton. There will be lots of activities including a BBQ, refreshments, Oxon Play Bus, Orinoco Scrapstore, Go Kart Party, Circus Skills, Oxfordshire Football Association, M&S Beauty Salon and much much more. Further details will be posted here nearer the time.  
 

Mens Breakfast : 8.30 a.m. Edit

Carterton Clean Up Day : 1.00 pm Edit 
  Your Community Needs You! Help us to clean up Carterton Town Centre before the Jubilee celebrations. Meet at the Town Hall in Alvescot Road at 1.00 p.m. on Saturday 26th May. Equipment will be supplied.  
 

Carterton Lions Car Boot Sale : 8.00am - 12.30pm Edit
